EMC remediation of industrial AI edge gateways, such as adding ferrite beads, capacitors, and common-mode inductors, may increase power supply internal resistance or signal attenuation if the selection is inappropriate, thus restricting the release of AI computing power. Correct remediation should use low DC resistance ferrite beads (PBZ1608E600Z0T, DCR 0.05Ω) and low insertion loss common-mode filters (CMZ2012A-900T, insertion loss 0.3dB), ensuring that the TVS junction capacitance is <10pF to have no impact on high-speed signals. In a case study from a server manufacturer, after adding the above devices, the AI inference performance did not decrease compared to before the remediation, the Cbenchmark score remained consistent, and the radiated emission improved from exceeding the limit by 3dB to within the 5dB margin.
