
The hardware-accelerated encryption engine of the industrial AI edge gateway can significantly reduce the impact of TLS/SSL encryption and decryption on AI inference speed. To ensure that the encryption engine is not affected by power supply noise during operation, a PBZ1608E600Z0T ferrite bead and a 4.7μF MLCC filter are added to its core power supply. At the same time, a CMZ2012A-900T common-mode choke in series on the high-speed PCIe bus between the encryption engine and the AI processor is used to suppress crosstalk. Actual tests show that after enabling TLS, the AI inference throughput decreases by less than 3%, and there is no deterioration in radiated emissions.
