To prevent electromagnetic leakage, the cable entry point of the intelligent controller PAC must be shielded and sealed. Shielded cables should be selected, and a shielded cable clamp or conductive pad (such as a metal braided mesh pad) should be used at the entry point to encircle the shielding layer 360 degrees to the housing. The contact surface between the cable clamp and the housing must be conductive to ensure a contact resistance of less than 10mΩ. For multiple cables, use a shielding comb or conductive filler (such as conductive rubber) to fill the gaps. The entry opening size should be as small as possible and matched to the cable bundle.
Internally, the cable shielding layer terminates at the connector to the metal housing, which in turn connects to the housing. Tests show that this shielding and sealing treatment can achieve a shielding effectiveness of more than 30dB at the cable entry point at 1GHz and reduce radiated emissions by 10dB, meeting the shielding effectiveness test requirements of IEC61000-5-7.
