HDMI officially stipulates that it is prohibited to label or advertise any version information on products, such as claiming that a TV is HDMI 1.4 or that a cable is HDMI 2.0. Since HDMI 2.0 does not define a new interface type and uses the same standard as HDMI 1.4, it is difficult to distinguish them by appearance.
The main difference can only be observed through the TV's performance: the most significant upgrade from HDMI 1.4 to HDMI 2.0 is the increase in bandwidth from 3G to 6G, simply put, from 3840×2160p@30Hz to 3840×2160p@60Hz. Generally, if a TV is advertised as or actually supports UHD 60Hz, it meets the HDMI 2.0 standard.
