The EMC standards for syringe pumps (micro-infusion pumps) are similar to those for infusion pumps, requiring compliance with GB 9706.1, YY 0505 (domestic), and IEC 60601-1-2 (international). Because they are used to deliver high-concentration drugs, the requirements for flow rate accuracy and stability are even higher. The standards specifically focus on ensuring that the micro-stepping control of the motor (usually a high-precision stepper motor) does not lose steps under strong electromagnetic fields, and that the thrust detection or encoder feedback signal is accurate. Syringe pumps are typically smaller and have a more compact circuit layout, making EMC design more challenging.
