The EMC protection focus of the central monitoring system is on the network and power supply. Each network switch (PoE or non-PoE) should have its RJ45 port integrated with dedicated network protection circuitry, including gas discharge tubes (e.g., 2R090L-8X6), TVS diode arrays (e.g., ESDLC3V3D3B), and common-mode inductors to provide surge and ESD protection. For the AC power input of the central station server, surge-protected power strips or varistors with built-in high current-carrying capacity (e.g., 20D series) are recommended. The system cabinet should be properly grounded, and shielded cables should be used for connections between devices within the cabinet. The antenna feed lines of wireless APs can be fitted with ferrite cores, and their power ports must be protected with TVS diodes.
